Raids are a small scale attack on a land. Their primary purpose is to take the other land's resources and to create conflict that needs to be resolved.
⚠ THE RAID SYSTEM IS STILL IN BETA, THIS IS FAR FROM BEING FINAL AND PRONE TO BUGS
⚠ Camps are exempt from the raid system, and thus none of this page applies to them.
Raids are started by using a Raid Horn in the outer areas of a territory. Once a Raid Horn is used, a 2 minute timer starts for defenders and raiders to prepare for the raid, after which a horn will sound, pvp will be enabled, and the raid officially starts. All raiders that take part in the raid will lose 15 reputation at the start of the raid.
Note: There needs to be at least 3 defenders online to start a raid.
It's very easy to tell when a raid is in progress due to a bossbar at the top of the screen showing the remaining time.
The time remaining can be changed (aside from natural counting down) in 2 different ways:
There are also multiple notifications during the raid to let you know how much time is remaining: 5 Minutes, 1 Minute, 30 Seconds, and a 10 second countdown.
Once the time reaches 0 the raid ends and two raid cooldowns are set: A global one for 2 Days, and a group specific one for 7 Days.
Raiders can also “pillage” the land while running around not doing anything else during a raid. While pillaging, the raider will collect 0.25-3 coins per second (depending on the size of the land) which will then be taken from either the land bank, or added to the land's debt, once the raid ends. If a raider is killed however, any coins they had pillaged will be returned to the land.
Raiders can also place scaffolding and ladders inside of lands during a raid, there is currently a bug that makes the “you cannot build here” message show up, but it can just be ignored.
Raids also disable the use of Ender Pearls for Raiders inside of the territory, so to get in/out they will need to either have access to an open gate, or use ladders/scaffolding to get past walls.
Any players that are currently on raid cooldown in a land that try to come in and help the raiders will receive Wither 5 while inside the land.
There are 2 types of raid cooldown: Global, and Per Player.
On global raid cooldown, no one can initiate a raid on a land.
On player raid cooldown the player on cooldown cannot use a raid horn in the land, and won't be added as a raider if inside the rally point for a land.
The PvP Shield protects land members from being randomly attacked inside of their territory by disabling pvp for anyone not in faceoff and not in combat. If a player is already in combat however, they can still be attacked. Note that attacking a player would also put you in combat, allowing them to fight back.
Players protected by the PvP Shield also have Keep Inventory enabled, preventing the loss of items and XP in the event they die.
The PvP Shield is disabled during raids.
